Window box

Even tho it's snowing, I decorated my window box (click to see how I made it and where I got the idea) for spring. This is the first year I've had it so it's fun to decide what I have to put in it. I'm sure I'll come up with some new things every season.

I got this watering can at a household sale last year. The bunny and bird are garden decorations. I'll use them in the garden when I change the box for summer.

I used dark wood for the inside of the box but have decided that everything shows up better on a lighter background. I have a piece of muslin tacked to the back but in the summer I'm going to white wash the bead board. I wanted to make sure it worked better light before I did it.

What a beautiful spring display! It must be such fun having that window box.

I do love old watering cans. They are very hard to find at garage sales in my area. Luckily I have about 6 that I found years ago. I use them on the deck for annual containers.

All right Miss Jean, DISH. Tell me about this window box. Is that your home or is it a business? I am liking the concept VERY MUCH!

I love your spring decorations. Yellow Bells are my fav and they are blooming around here. So Pretty! I had daffodils in my yard but son has picked every single one of them and given them to me and his NaNa. The snow is pretty but I'm glad it's Spring!!

Love your window box...reminds me of something placed outside of a store front! Neat!

I would be having a ball decorating it all the time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to see my nostalgic look back!

Jean,
Just found your blog thru Jennifer. I LOVE!!! your window box. A friend of mine is getting rid of a bunch of old windows and I told her I wanted one. She asked me what I was going to do with it and I told her I don't know, but after seeing your awesome creation, I now know what I'll be doing. Hope you have a lovely and blessesd Easter.

That is the neatest display and love that box! I came from Zoey's blog. Did you buy that or make it and is it waterproof? Awesome.
Happy Easter!

So I'm a pain, I know. How is the light put in this and do you have to stand on a ladder to decorate it?
I have a stucco house, so don't know if I could have a huge box, but it would be neat to have something similar. You and Nature Girl are so clever!
